How we work

Our policies

Our churches follow the policies of the Methodist Church in Britain, together with the local arrangements agreed by the Circuit Meeting. The areas below are the ones people ask about most often. If you need a policy that is not covered here, please ask the Circuit Office and we will send it to you.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of every one of our churches. Our commitment, and the contacts to use if you have a concern, are set out in full on our safeguarding page.

Data protection

We handle personal information carefully and keep only what we need. How we use the information you send us through this website is explained in our privacy policy.

Health, safety and property

Each church is responsible for the safety of its own premises, supported by the Circuit and by the East Anglia District. Risk assessments, fire procedures and premises records are held locally by the church stewards.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

We welcome everyone. The Methodist Church's commitment to inclusion, and its stand against discrimination of every kind, applies in all our churches.

Policy documents will be added to this page for download as they are approved by the Circuit Meeting.
